PAINTING IS REALLY JUST DRAWING WITH A BRUSH

PAINTING HAS A MUCH WIDER RANGE OF COLOR, TINTS & TONES

THE PROBLEM WITH PAINTING: IT IS LIMITED BY CLASHES WITH OTHER COLORS

Why? It is because some colors often clash - especially with complementary colors. This can make a painting either dull or not pleasing to the eye.

On the other hand using a category such as Earth Tones can create a positive eye appeal in some paintings.

TINT: are colors mixed mostly with white (a.k.a) pastels.

TONES: are a color that is grayish and mixed with black.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT IS MIXTURES TO BRIGHTEN OR DULL BLACK

For instance: A BLUE-BLACK writing pen will be sort-of dull or flat black

A black pen mixed with RED will be more glossy.
